I have some Osceola Turkey Hunts available in March.  The lodge can hold up to 5 hunters.  Hunt includes 2 days of hunting, Lodging, and 2 meals per day (lunch and dinner only).  Price is $2000 per hunter and includes 1 Osceola Turkey Tom (an additional Tom can be purchased for $1000 extra).

March 18-20
March 22-24

They took two hogs over 200 lbs. One was a boar that went 208 and a sow that went 266. Not bad for 2 hunters. Still have doe permits available, $150 per doe and unlimited hogs. Give me a shout if you’re interested. Teach a kid to hunt and you won’t have to hunt your kids.

Tommy Davis and his nephew Marcus had an awesome day hunt.  9 yr. old Marcus shot his first hog.
Also, Victor snipered 2 does from Sendero Los Muertos at about 350 yds., later that evening there’s was collective effort from the Genecov group to take out this 280 lb. sow while spotlighting.  You can see that she took up the entire back end of the mule.

Here are a few things hunters forget to bring that are really useful.

]]> http://brodax.com/blog/new-harvests/feed/ 0 10 pt. and some hogs http://brodax.com/blog/10-pt-and-some-hogs/ http://brodax.com/blog/10-pt-and-some-hogs/#comments Wed, 01 Dec 2010 17:33:56 +0000 http://brodax.com/blog/?p=286 Congratulations to these hunters.  Keelan Traywick harvested a nice 10 pt. this past weekend after watching several does and a big group of hogs come by the food plot.  He was definitely anxious, but waited to harvest something that met his specifications.  Also, Tommy Davis pounded some hogs this past weekend.  Tommy had never shot a hog before and took out his first 2 back to back as we road up on a big group in the pasture while spotlighting on our way back to camp to eat dinner.  Nice shootin on the run no less.  He took his 3rd one out at The Pipe feeder.  Jeff McNutt came back home to have a little r&r with his family (Bill and Judge Kay Mcnutt from Mt. Pleasant).  While he and his wife road on my 4wheeler loaded in the back of my truck spotlighting the pastures, once again, he took out this beast on the run.   Good job and I look forward to seeing Tommy again this weekend to harvest a big buck.

This was Gene’s first exotic deer to harvest. It took us a while to get up on the herd, but we eventually got into position for him to take this large hind. While on his hunt, we had several other critters come within bow range, like these deer that walked up the pipeline to about 15 yds. from us, while we were sitting in the open next to the 4-wheeler. Gene said if he would have had his crossbow, it would’ve been game on. I definitely look forward to seeing Gene again soon. Also, Chris Williams was given an anniversary present from his wife to come out and hog hunt for his first time ever. Not sure if it was beginners luck or just good novice hunting, but Chris managed to harvest his first hog ever on his time out hunting and saw over 25+ hogs. Chris looks forward to bringing out his wife next time he comes out to hunt. I also included a picture of one of the coyotes I’ve snared, up to #31 since June.
